The Microsoft Loop App & Microsoft 365 Copilot are two major developments that are coming our way soon through the Microsoft Roadmap.
Loop brings collaboration across the M365 apps to help you stay in sync without switching apps, and Copilot harnesses the power of AI to unleash creativity, unlock productivity and uplevel skills.
What is Loop?
Microsoft Loop is a transformative co-creation experience that brings together teams, content, and tasks across your tools and devices. The new Loop app is where you can access all three parts of Loop; components, workspaces, and pages – watch the video for an overview. Try Microsoft Loop at loop.microsoft.com
Microsoft Loop – think, plan and create together like never before!
Microsoft Loop is an online hub that provides a space to work with Office apps and manage tasks and projects. The tool is available as a preview that anyone can access for free.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
With Microsoft 365 Copilot, we are bringing the power of next-generation AI to work. Microsoft 365 Copilot isn’t just a better way of doing the same things. It’s an entirely new way of working.
Copilot will come to many of the Microsoft 365 apps, such as Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Chat.
There is a 9 video playlist on Microsoft 365’s YouTube channel that reviews each of them with a 1min video, with the final 2min video where Microsoft explain “the copilot system” and how it works alongside the Microsoft Graph & Large Language Model.
We’ve linked to video 1 of 9 for you here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uI5mQjTp1fI&list=PLXPr7gfUMmKxDKxah3zpG4NhhDj-2lAvc&index=1 or you can view below.
Is Microsoft Copilot available now?
In short, no it isn’t. Microsoft opened it up to only a small selection of clients initially. They do have plans to release the full application in the “coming months” so expect a release date sometime in the summer.
Its not yet clear how Microsoft Loop & 365 Copilot will be licensed, or whether they will be included under our recommended Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscription, but either way we are pleased to see Microsoft continuing to bring the collaboration and AI developments to the table for Business users in the UK.
